English BookSale on 29./30.10.2021

GOOD NEWS!! No doubt you’ve been waiting to hear about our English Book Sale…fingers crossed, we will be holding our sale on

Friday 29th October 2021  from 2-7 pm and
                                  Saturday 30th October 2021 from 10 am – 3 pm.

Covid precautions
On entry to the book sale you will be asked to provide proof that you meet at least one of the official requirements:
proof of vaccination a recent negative PCR test or proof of recovery from Covid.
Masks will be obligatory and – as requested – please ensure that you distance yourself sufficiently from other shoppers.
We would ask you in the interests of minimizing the risk of spreading Covid not to bring your littles into the sale.

This year the sale will take place in Haar but at a new venue as the school is concentrating on coronavirus-conform lessons.

The sale will be in a hall on the grounds of the KBO (Klinikum München-Ost), Gesellschaftshaus, Ring Straße 36 (next to the Café Jedermann) in 85540 Haar.

Our storage is full to bursting and we will not have as much time as usual in the past to sort and price the books. For this reason, we are NOT taking donations prior to the sale.

Due to hygiene and saftey measures, we may have to restrict the number of people in the hall at any one time. We are hoping to extend our opening hours in an effort to give everyone an opportunity to find new reading material to last them through the winter.

We’ll be sending you precise details about opening times and how to get there nearer the time. Please be aware that the government regulations may well change by the end of October. Masks, social distancing, limited numbers of visitors as well as requirements of proof of vaccination, recovery from coronavirus or a negative test are likely to be necessary.

Thank you all for your continuing support; if you take a look at our website www.ilembula.de/aktion/annual-booksale you will get an idea of the sort of practical assistance you are helping to provide for people in Ilembula (Tanzania). As you no doubt know, every cent you spend on books and DVDs at our sales is used to support humanitarian and environmental projects, in particular for needy families and orphans, in Ilembula.

We look forward to seeing you all in October!
